DEI in Action | Celebrating Cultural Inclusion: KYF Thailand Week & Songkran Festival
With a warm “Sawatdee,” King Yuan Fu (KYF) kicked off its vibrant Thailand Cultural Week. To further integrate multicultural understanding into our workplace, 427 KYF team members participated in our annual Songkran festival celebration. This event, featuring traditional water-splashing blessings and a “Cultural Ring Toss Challenge,” was designed to bridge cultural gaps and foster genuine connections among colleagues. At KYF, such festivities are more than just gatherings; they represent our concrete commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and our goal of building a workplace where every individual feels a sense of belonging.
During the event, the KYF plant resonated with enthusiastic Thai greetings as we transformed the spirit of the traditional Songkran festival into meaningful workplace interactions:
- “Blessing Launchers” for Mutual Support: The “Water Splashing” ritual served as a powerful medium for colleagues to exchange heartfelt blessings for a prosperous year ahead, reinforcing a culture of mutual care and positivity.
- Capturing Happiness through Symbolism: This year’s “Ring Toss Challenge” was a highlight, where winners received unique, hand-painted “Memory Elephants.” These souvenirs were not just prizes; they symbolized KYF’s recognition of the uniqueness of every employee and our appreciation for their diverse contribution.
Our ESG Commitment: Driving Social Synergy and UN SDG Goals
Since 2023, KYF has actively advocated for a new workplace culture through our International Culture Week series, covering Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. These initiatives are designed to deepen mutual respect and strengthen the inclusive atmosphere within our global team.
