King Yuan Fu and Carrefour Launch PET Recycling Loop
Just ahead of World Animal Day on October 4th, King Yuan Fu Packaging’s sustainability development has reached a significant milestone. We are honored to announce our official invitation to join Carrefour’s “Sustainable Impact Alliance,” standing alongside the Carrefour Impact store, which champions the “cage-free” movement. Through concrete actions in our supply chain, we are collaborating to build a greener everyday life.

A Three-Party Collaboration to Build Taiwan’s First Closed-Loop Recycling Station
Within Carrefour’s “Impact i-League,” every supplier is a partner in creating sustainable solutions. In this initiative, King Yuan Fu Packaging has joined forces with Carrefour and BO RE-TECH to establish Taiwan’s very first closed-loop recycling station for PET flat-sheet packaging.

This collaborative project aims to achieve three primary goals:
- Promote a Closed-Loop System: To establish a complete cycle from “recycling and regeneration” to “restocking on shelves,” ensuring that PET packaging is effectively reused and significantly reducing resource waste.
- Drive In-Store Transformation: To integrate the concept of sustainability into the consumer shopping experience, making green consumption the new daily standard.
- Protect Resource Value: To not only preserve the value of food but also ensure that the packaging protecting it is not wasted and can be fully recycled.
“1 + . = i”: Igniting Impact Through Action
The core concept of this project is “1 + . = i,” where “i” stands for impact. A sustainable cycle can be initiated through two simple steps:
- Clean and Flatten: Consumers clean and flatten their used PET packaging.
- Deposit for Recycling: The prepared packaging is deposited into the dedicated closed-loop recycling station located in the store.
King Yuan Fu Packaging remains steadfast in its commitment to practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. We believe that through continuous “Recycling-in-Progress” actions, we can make a substantial contribution to the planet’s sustainable future.

- About Cage-Free Eggs: “Cage-free eggs” are eggs laid by hens that are able to move freely in a more spacious environment, rather than being confined to small, restrictive cages. This practice is not only a sign of respect for animal welfare but also a vital component of sustainable agriculture.
