2025 H1 ESG Proposal Awards – Top Performing Units Announced

KYF officially announced the award recipients for its ESG improvement proposals in the first half of 2025, recognizing outstanding departments excelling in proposal submission, cost savings, energy efficiency, and waste reduction. Since the program’s inception, 193 proposals have led to approximately NT$119 million in savings, 9.98 million kWh energy conserved, and 477 metric tons of waste reduced. Upholding a culture of sustainability driven by employee initiative, KYF continues to advance its environmental and social responsibilities through practical actions and data-driven management. Awardees were honored with banners and premium bamboo shoot gifts symbolizing growth and support for sustainable local agriculture.

KYF Collaborates with Farmers to Promote Rational Fertilization

KYF promotes environmental sustainability by joining Taiwan’s Rational Fertilization Program, reducing chemical use and improving water and soil health—achieving up to an 83% phosphorus reduction in trial fields. In 2025, the company supported local farmers through contract farming, purchasing 200 catties of bamboo shoots and increasing partner income by about 4%. The harvest was also used to reward employees, enhance workplace meals, and share with community senior centers.

KYF Packaging has achieved a corporate warming potential of 1.573°C and received the “1.5°C Climate Target” certification through the Corporate Carbon Reduction Thermometer (TRIPs) evaluation jointly promoted by CommonWealth Magazine and Tunghai University. The company demonstrated a clear decarbonization pathway by adopting renewable energy, closed-loop recycling, and aligning with SBTi.
